Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely moms out there. Special thoughts for those whose mom's are no longer here - big hugs to get you through the day.

Well - I've managed a lie in - if you can call 7.30am a lie in, although must not complain as our five year old thinks 6am is usually a good time to get up!!

My boys have been busy making cards and have bought me some perfume - Jean Paul Gautier - my favourite, some beautiful flowers, a box of Thorntons chocolates although I don't think my Weightwatcher Leader would approve and a set of these Best Kept Secrets smelly candles.

I absolutely love these candles - they smell good enough to eat with no Weightwatcher points to count!

Brushfest!

We have a bit of  a brush fest going on at the moment on the website.


We have just added the luxurious The London Brush Company brushes. These are fabulous brushes which have been hand made by expert British craftsmen.


The brushes are long handled and are made from high grade pure sable or squirrel. Admittedly they are not cheap but if cared for correctly they will last you for years. Just think of it as an investment - you will save money in the long run.


Sable brushes are excellent for professionals as they perform brilliantly! They hold products prior to application so much better and retain their shape.

Give and Makeup

Sometimes I wonder which planet I live on!! How could I have missed this great charity organisation??

Give and Makeup is a fabulous organisation that collects unused and unwanted cosmetics, toiletries and baby products and re-distributes them to the women and children who so desperately need them.

We have already sent off one parcel and and will be sending more as soon as possible.

No donation is too small. Pop along to the Give and Makeup site to see more. It really is an inspiring cause!

Stressed!!

Have you ever had one of those days? Nothing seems to go to plan and there are never enough hours in the day? Well - I'm having one of those!

The only thing keeping me going is the thought of a long hot soak with my new best friend! Just discovered these wonderful bath souffles. Just pop them in the bath and watch them do their stuff!!

Not sure I can wait till bath time!

What's your most useful make up purchase?

As you might imagine we get to see lots of new products at Cocktail Cosmetics.

One of our favourites is the Z Palette! It is such a simple idea but totally brilliant. Not being the most organised this has totally changed the way I store make up.
